These are some of our prototypes used within interim presentation.

Before the interim presentation Belle, Justine and Kieran were instructed to create prototypes of each product. They each made multiple variations of their prototypes in order to search for the preferred design by the rest of the group. The images seen above are the prototypes that were chosen and taken forward through development and shown within the interim presentation.

Justine and Belle spent a long time learning origami for the box and didn't actually end up using the origami box they created within the final outcome! However, it was great practice when developing our relationship with the physical outcome and experimenting with what works and what doesn't. As a group we all agreed that the physical side of creating the outcome is going to be fun but also challenging because we are all so used to consuming and creating digital media.

Belle created lots of different versions of the manual as she was unclear at this point on what she thought the manual should include. Her different interpretations are seen below alongside a small reflection upon each one.

This was just Belles sketches to understand sizing and help her decide which was her preferred size for the cards. She preferred larger, however for various reasons the team chose to do a smaller more traditional deck.

These two zines follow the same concept as the final one however they are too small.

Belle wanted to add in a belly band and perhaps have the zine as the star of the show. However the group and the consumer didn't agree with this prototype.

These two were also to small and too uninformative.

Belle tried to add a smaller zine around the bigger manual. This was too much, it needed to be more simple.

This manual was too large.

This mockup Belle found to be the best one and this is the one which she then took forward as her favourite to the team and subsequently, made the more detailed prototype used in the interim presentation.

(This was the first mockup that Belle created which swayed her in the decision to create something active which helps people)
